Playtech Inks Deal with Svenska Spel in Sweden to Grow Its Poker Reach

Playtech, a leading UK-based gambling technology company, has strengthened its connections in Sweden after signing a cooperation deal with Svenska Spel Sport & Casino, a leading gambling operator in the country. The deal will help the operator keep up with changing gaming trends even as it plans to launch Playtech's video poker product and iPoker network to refresh its content. 

Following this move, players at the regulated mobile casino app will have unlimited access to various innovative poker game features, an improved mobile playing experience, and a seamless connection to the iPoker network. In addition, this partnership provides Svenska Spel players with opportunities for more tournaments with significant prize pots and liquidity pools.

Playtech and Svenska Spel already have a partnership that dates back to 2019. The company supplies the gambling site with its award-winning library of mobile casino games and live services. Interestingly, this new deal makes Playtech the exclusive poker provider at the Swedish casino. 

The extended partnership will further bolster Playtech's position in Sweden after recently receiving a B2B permit from the Swedish Gambling Authority. This accreditation means that the company is committed to the new safer gambling regulations that will be implemented starting July 1, 2023.

Poker is one of Playtech's most successful games, and this partnership reflects the enduring popularity of the card game.
