Plinko is a physics-style instant game. Each round is one tap, the ball takes a couple of seconds to fall, and the result is credited at once. This guide covers the settings, a round step by step, the odds and how to check that a drop was fair.

The settings: rows and risk

SettingTypical rangeWhat it changes
Rows8–16More rows mean more pegs and a wider spread of outcomes. The extreme multipliers become rarer.
Risk levelLow, medium, highHigher risk widens the multiplier range, for example from about 0.5x–15x on low risk to 0.2x–1,000x on high risk.

Few rows and low risk give a steady, low-variance session. Many rows and high risk give long runs of small returns with the occasional large hit.

A round step by step

  1. Pick a stake. Use the slider or the chip buttons. Minimum stakes can be as low as €0.10.
  2. Set rows and risk. The multiplier row under the board updates as you change them, so you can see the possible outcomes.
  3. Tap to drop. A ball appears at the top of the pyramid.
  4. Watch it fall. Each peg knocks the ball left or right, so the path cannot be predicted.
  5. Read the result. The slot it lands in lights up with its multiplier, and the win goes to your balance. On higher risk settings many slots pay back less than your stake.
  6. Repeat or change. Use the repeat button to drop again with the same settings, or adjust them.

How the multiplier slots are spread

Each studio sets its own grid, but the shape is always the same: high multipliers at the edges, small ones in the middle.

  • Edge slots pay the most and are hit least often.
  • Slots next to the edges give modest wins or roughly your stake back.
  • Centre slots are hit most often and usually return less than your stake, which is where the game earns its edge.

Because the ball bounces at random, most balls end up near the centre. That is why a high-risk board can feel like a long run of small losses.

RTP, house edge and fairness

  • RTP: usually around 97% on low risk and around 96% on high risk. The exact figure is in the game's info or fairness screen.
  • House edge: roughly 3% to 4%, built in by paying slightly less than the true odds of each slot.
  • Provably fair: many crypto casinos publish a hash of the server seed before you drop. After the round, the revealed seed and your own client seed recreate the exact path, proving it was fixed in advance.

To check a drop in the fairness tab:

  1. Copy the server seed revealed after the round.
  2. Run it through any SHA-256 hash tool.
  3. Check that the hash matches the one shown before the round.

Tips for playing Plinko on mobile

TipWhy
Start lowTry settings with small stakes before you aim for the high multipliers.
Watch the paceA drop takes about two seconds. Set a session timer so the time does not slip away.
Use the casino's limitsDeposit limits, loss limits and cool-off periods keep play sustainable.
Ignore streaksEvery ball is independent. Five low slots in a row do not make a 1,000x due.
