Mobile casino games: the best odds, RTP by game and where to play

Mobile casino games are slots, table games, crash and instant games, scratch cards, keno and live dealer games, played in a casino app or the phone's browser. The ones with the best odds are table games played with the right strategy; for slots, crash and instant games, compare the RTP their studios state.

Below: the odds by game, every game we review ranked by stated RTP, where their returns cluster and a page for each game type.

Which mobile casino game has the best odds?

Video poker, blackjack and baccarat, if you play them correctly. 9/6 Jacks or Better returns up to 99.54% with optimal strategy, blackjack about 99.5% with basic strategy and the baccarat Banker bet 98.94%. Slots, crash and instant games are pure chance: their return is the RTP the studio states, which you can compare in the table below.

RTP sets the long-run cost; volatility sets how hard a session swings. A 96% game returns $96 per $100 bet on average over a very large number of rounds, not in one session.

Named games in the rows use the published RTP in our game data. Plinko XY states 99%. Aviator states 97%. Book of Keno states 97.01%. Table-game rows stay theoretical returns with optimal play, and they are not the same measure as a studio RTP.

How to read mobile casino games

How mobile casino games differ by the way a round settles

Mobile casino games use the same bet, result and payout as a desktop casino. The phone changes the controls: a portrait layout, a thumb tap, and often an auto setting so a round does not depend on a last-moment press.

The catalogue splits by how the result is produced. Blackjack, baccarat, roulette and craps follow a fixed rule set, and blackjack and video poker reward a correct decision. Slots, crash games, instant games, keno and scratch cards draw the result from a random number generator. Live dealer tables stream a human game and settle the same bets a physical table would.

A decision changes the long-run return only where the rules give you one. A blackjack chart or a video-poker chart moves your return toward the game's published maximum. A slot spin does not. In a crash game, a lower cash-out target wins more often and pays less each time. The target changes the shape of the results. It does not change the published RTP.

Speed is the practical limit on a phone. A crash round or an instant game can finish in a few seconds, so a hundred bets fit into a short sitting. A live shoe is slower because the dealer and the other seats set the pace. Set a round count before you open a fast game. The page on crash games sets out cash-out targets and the crash titles we review.

What a studio's stated RTP measures

RTP, return to player, is the share of all money staked that a game pays back over a very large number of rounds. A game stated at 96% returns $96 per $100 staked on that average and keeps $4 as the house edge. The average covers all players and all rounds. It does not describe your next ten minutes.

Volatility is a separate attribute. It describes how uneven the payouts are. A low-volatility game pays smaller amounts more often. A high-volatility game pays less often and can pay more when it hits. Two games can publish the same RTP and still empty a short session at different speeds.

Some studios certify more than one RTP for the same title, and the casino chooses a version. The help, info or paytable screen inside the game is the version that applies to your bets. A figure on a comparison page can be the studio's highest published number. The guide to RTP in mobile casinos walks through the formula and where to read the figure on a phone.

Stated returns for three games we review

The short-answer table places three studio RTPs next to theoretical table-game returns. The three studio figures come from the published RTP in our game data. They are not a list of every game, and they are not a forecast for one session.

Plinko XY is an instant game. Plinko XY states a published RTP of 99%. The path of the ball is a random draw. The tap starts the round. It does not aim the ball.

Aviator is a crash game. Aviator states a published RTP of 97%. A multiplier rises until the round ends. A cash-out before that point pays the stake times the multiplier. A miss loses the stake. Auto cash-out stores the target so the result does not depend on a late tap.

Book of Keno is a keno title. Book of Keno states a published RTP of 97.01%. The game pays from a draw of numbers against the numbers you marked. Many online keno titles publish a higher return than classic lottery keno, so the paytable on the screen matters more than the word keno in the title.

How to choose a game type on a phone

Start from the decision you need to make. If you will follow a chart and you want the lowest theoretical house edge, look at video poker and blackjack before slots. If you want a visible multiplier and a short round, look at crash games. If you want one tap and a finished result, look at instant games and scratch cards.

Slots are the largest catalogue on most mobile casinos. A round is a spin, with paylines or ways and often a bonus feature. Read the stated RTP and the volatility label before the theme. The slots page ranks the slot titles we review and explains paylines, bonus rounds and stake limits.

The legal position and the minimum age depend on the country you play from. A game loading in the app does not by itself make real-money play lawful where you live.

Mobile casino games: FAQ

Which mobile casino game has the best odds?

Video poker: 9/6 Jacks or Better returns up to 99.54% with optimal strategy. Blackjack with basic strategy (about 99.5%) and the baccarat Banker bet (98.94%) are close behind. For slots, crash and instant games, compare the stated RTP in the table on this page.

How do RTP and volatility affect my budget?

RTP sets the long-run return: a 96% game returns $96 per $100 bet on average over many rounds. Volatility sets how quickly a budget swings: high-volatility slots pay rarely but large, low-volatility games give steadier, smaller results.

Do skill and strategy matter?

In blackjack and video poker, yes: correct decisions lower the house edge. In slots, crash, instant games, keno and scratch cards every result comes from the random number generator, and no system changes the edge.

Why do two casinos show different RTPs for the same game?

Some studios ship a game in more than one certified RTP version. The casino picks which version to run. The number in the game's info or paytable screen is the version on that site. A figure on a review page can be the studio's top published version, so check the screen before you stake.

Play only if you are 18+ and it stays fun

Casino play on a phone is quick to start and easy to continue. These four rules apply on every page of this site.

18+ only

Adults only, on every device

A phone is easy to hand to someone else. Lock the casino app or browser tab behind your device PIN or Face ID, and never save card details on a shared phone.

Speed

Short rounds add up

Crash and instant games settle a round in seconds. Set a time limit on the phone (Screen Time on iPhone, Digital Wellbeing on Android) as well as a deposit limit at the casino.

Limits

Use the casino's own tools

Look for deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in the account menu, and set them before your first deposit, while it is easy.
