The rules of blackjack playing on a mobile device are identical to playing at a traditional brick-and-mortar casino. The basic aim of the game is to obtain a hand of cards whose total points are higher than that of the dealer, but not exceeding 21 points – otherwise, the player will lose.
At the onset of the game, the player is dealt two cards face up while the dealer is dealt one card facing up and one facing down. The player is offered the option of ‘hitting’ (requesting more cards) or ‘standing’ (staying with the cards at hand). In order to win, the player must either attain a hand of 21 points or aim for a total that is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand.
If the dealer's hand is higher than 21, the player wins regardless of the points in their own hand. Additionally, if the player's cards equal to 21 in points, this is known as blackjack and the player is automatically rewarded with a 3:2 payout of their stake.
