Punto Banco is a game of chance that is immensely popular among Namibian mobile casinos and online casinos. It's also known as Baccarat, and it's a convenient card game which has been around for centuries. The objective of the game is for the Punto" or
Player" (representing the player) and the Banco" or
Banker" (representing the house) to get closer to a hand totaling 9.
Unlike other card games, Punto Banco does not involve making decisions on how you play your cards. Instead, you'll only be required to decide whether you want to bet on the player, the banker, or call a tie. The game begins with the dealer dealing two cards face up to both the banker and the player. The winner is the one whose hand is closest to a total of nine. If the cards dealt to the player or the banker total a natural 8 or a 9, then the round is over, and the corresponding party has won. A tie is declared if the hands of the bank and the player are equal.
During play, the third card can be drawn depending on the total of the first two cards. If neither the player nor the banker has 8 or 9, then a third card is placed on either hand. After this, the winner is determined based on the highest total.
