Baccarat is a card game that is commonly played at mobile casinos in Namibia. Generally speaking, this game is played between two hands: the ‘player' and the 'banker'. There can be up to nine players at the table playing against the ‘banker’. The aim of the game is to predict which hand will have the highest score - ‘player’ or ‘banker’.
In the Namibian version of baccarat, the game begins when the players place their bets. The cards must be dealt accordingly. The ‘player’ receives two cards, and so does the ‘banker’. The two cards added together must not exceed nine. If they do, the first digit of the sum is discarded. For instance, if the 'player' has a 6 and a 4, the total is 10, with only the last digit counting, in this case, 0.
The ‘player’ or the ‘banker’ must have a total score of 8 or 9 to win the game. If neither has a score of 8 or 9, the ‘player’ or the ‘banker’ may draw an extra card. The 'player' or the 'banker' can draw an extra card if the total is 5 or under. The 'player' must stand if the total is 6 or 7.
