The classic card game, Punto Banco, is popular among Irish patrons of mobile casinos. To get started, players need to decide how much they would like to wager. The goal of the game is to get closer to a total of nine points than the banker, who is typically the casino or the house.
Players begin by being dealt two cards, each of which has a certain value. Face cards, like jacks, queens, and kings, are worth no points, whereas aces are worth one point. Cards between two and nine are worth their face value. The winner of the hand is determined by adding up the values of all the cards. The total can never exceed nine.
If a player's two-card total is five points or less, then they must draw a third card. If their two-card total is six or seven, then they cannot draw a third card. In both cases, the banker then stands or draws based on their own hand.
