Blackjack is a popular card game originating in France. It is known as the most widely-played casino game in the world, and the mobile version is no different. In Ireland, the mobile version of Blackjack follows the same rules as the traditional game, which is usually played with numerical cards between 2 and 10, face cards (Jack, Queen, King) and aces.
The goal of the game is to get closer to “21” as possible, without going over that number. The highest value is “21”, and this is usually referred to as “Blackjack”. A hand of “21” is achieved via a combination of two or more cards, and the player with the highest score is the winner.
The dealer starts the game by dealing two cards face-up to each player, with one card placed face-down. Players then have the option to either “Hit”, which means that the dealer will deal another card, or “Stand”, which means the player will not receive any more cards. Once all players have completed their turns, the dealer will reveal their face-down card. The dealer will then draw more cards until they reach the total value of 17.
