Punto Banco, the popular baccarat variant, is widely available in mobile casinos in Ecuador. It is an easy-to-learn game with simple rules which make it suitable for players of all levels, from novices to experienced players.
The goal of the game is to place a bet on the hand that you think will win - either the Player ("Punto") or Banker ("Banco"). The highest total of the two hands is the winner.
To start, the dealer will first deal two cards to the Player and Banker hands. Each card will have a point value ranging from 1 to 9. Aces are worth 1 point and all other cards are equal to their face values. The hands are scored by adding the values of all the cards and the highest total wins.
The game can proceed in two ways. If either the Player or Banker has 8 or 9 points, the hand stands and the winner is determined. If not, a third card may be drawn. The Player and Banker must stand on 6 or 7, while 5 or less will require a third card. The Player’s third card is drawn first, followed by the Banker’s. Then, the totals of the hands are compared to determine the winner.
