Craps is a fast-paced dice game that is popular in both land-based and online casino venues. Malta’s mobile casinos offer craps in a variety of formats. The rules of the game are simple: players place bets with the casino on the result of a set of two dice thrown by a shooter. The shooter continues to roll the dice until they roll a 7 (i.e. seven-out) or a specific target number, known as the point. Different bets in the game have different odds and payouts based on the outcome of the roll.
The most common bet in craps is the pass line bet. This bet is placed by the shooter prior to the initial roll. The shooter wins the bet if he rolls either a 7 or an 11. If he rolls a 2, 3, or 12, the shooter loses the bet. If the shooter rolls any other number (known as the point), this number becomes the target number and the shooter must roll it again before a 7 is rolled in order for the shooter to win the bet.
Players may also choose to place a variety of other bets, such as don't pass line bets, come bets, don't come bets, and odds bets. Don't pass line bets are the opposite of pass line bets and are placed prior to the initial roll. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, the shooter loses the bet, whereas if the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, the shooter wins the bet. If the shooter rolls any other number (i.e. the point), the shooter must roll a 7 prior to rolling the point again in order for the shooter to win the bet.
Come bets are placed after the initial roll and are similar to pass line bets in that the shooter needs to roll the point again prior to rolling a 7 to win the bet. Don't come bets are the opposite of come bets and the shooter needs to roll a 7 prior to rolling the point again to win the bet. Odds bets are additional bets that can be placed on a point once it has been established.
