Three card Poker is a simple and fun game that is becoming more popular in South Sudan. The classic version of the game involves two hands, the player’s hand and the banker’s hand. Players are dealt three cards face up, while the banker is dealt three cards face down. The goal of the game is to make the best poker hand out of the three cards dealt.
The best hand in the game is a three of a kind, which is three cards that have the same face value (for example, three 7’s). Other strong hands include a Flush (three cards of the same suit) and a Straight (three consecutive cards). Lesser hands include two pairs and one pair. If a player has nothing, meaning no pair or better, then they can fold their hand and lose the bet.
The game begins by making an initial ante bet. The player and the banker then receive their three cards. The player can then make another bet or check. If the banker has a Queen or better, they must open their hand. If they do not have a Queen or better, the player can either take a look at the hand or fold the hand and lose. The winning hand is decided by a comparison of the strengths of the hands.
