In Italy, Three Card Poker is a popular game found in both mobile and physical casinos. This fast-paced poker game is based on the traditional Five Card Draw game. The main difference is that it’s played with only three cards.
In Italian Three Card Poker, each player is dealt three cards while the dealer is dealt three cards face down. Then, each player must decide if they want to fold, or to bet their hand. Players can choose to either make the Play bet or the Ante bet.
The Play bet is a wager that the player’s hand will beat the dealer’s hand. The Ante bet is a wager that the player’s hand will beat the dealer’s hand or will be a tie. If the player decides to make the Ante bet, they must also make an equal Play bet.
If the player folds, they forfeit both the Ante and Play bets, and the game is over. If the player plays, the dealer’s cards are then revealed, and the hands are compared. If the player’s hand is higher than the dealer’s hand, the player wins both the Ante and Play bets. If the dealer's hand is higher than the player's, the player loses both bets.
