Three Card Poker or ‘Tri Card Poker’ is a casino game that has been played since the early 1990s. It is one of the most popular mobile casino games in Egypt and is available at many mobile casinos. The aim of the game is to form a better 3-card poker hand than that of the dealer.
In the game, each player and dealer is initially dealt three cards face down. The players must then examine their cards and decide whether they wish to fold or place an additional bet, known as the ‘ante’. The ante bet is equal to the amount of the original bet. If the player decides to fold, their original bet is lost and the game ends. If they decide to place the ante bet, the dealer reveals their cards and the player has to decide whether to call, by placing an additional bet which is equal to the ante bet, or to fold, and forfeit their ante bet.
If the player calls, the dealer's 3-card hand is compared to the player's 3-card hand. If the dealer's hand is higher than the player's hand then the player loses both the ante bet and the call bet. If the dealer has a lower hand then the player's bets are paid according to the following odds:
- If the dealer has a Pair or less, the player is paid 1:1 on their ante bet, and 1:1 on their call bet
- If the player has a Flush or higher, the player is paid 4:1 on their ante bet, and 1:1 on their call bet
The game also offers an additional bonus bet which the player can make. The bonus bet pays out if the player has a Straight or higher and is paid 1:1 if the dealer has a higher hand, and 5:1 if the dealer has a lower hand.
