Punto Banco, also known as Baccarat, is a popular card game in both the online and land-based casino industries. In Japan, Punto Banco is gaining popularity due to its easy-to-learn yet entertaining nature.
The rules of the game typically remain the same in the mobile version. In Punto Banco, players compete against the bank rather than each other. During each round, the goal is to get as close to nine as possible without going over. In order to do this, each player is given two cards. All face cards (Kings, Queens, Jacks) and 10s are worth zero points, while the Ace card is worth one point.
Players can choose to place bets on either the ‘player’ or the ‘bank’. Depending on the result of the round, the person who placed the winning bet will be paid out at odds of 1:1. Before the cards are dealt, players can also place side bets on the outcome such as ‘player bonus’ or ‘bank bonus’.
If the total points of the player and the bank turn out to be equal, it is referred to as a ‘tie’ or ‘standoff’. In this case, all bets are returned to players.
