Punto Banco is a casino game that originated in Cuba and is now widely played in physical and online casinos in Hungary. The game is a straightforward and easy-to-play card game.
Players are dealt two cards and must attempt to get as close to nine as possible. If the sum of the two cards is nine or higher, the player's score is the rightmost digit of the sum (e.g., an 8 and 7 would result in a score of 5). If the sum is lower than nine, the player's score is the sum of the two cards.
Each player is dealt two cards face up and the dealer is dealt two cards face down. Based on the player's score and the score of the dealer, the player must decide if they will request another card (hit) or stay with their current score (stand).
Once all players have decided, the dealer reveals his cards and adds up the score. The winner is the player whose score is higher than the dealer's, or the player who managed to get to nine. If the dealer's score is higher than the player's, then the player loses the bet.
