Punto Banco is a popular card game played at mobile casinos in Hong Kong. This game relies heavily on chance and the object of the game is to bet on who will win: the player (Punto) or the banker (Banco). Players do not receive any cards and the value of each hand is determined by the value of its cards. The game revolves around a single deck of cards, in which all Aces are worth 1 point, 10s and picture cards are worth 0 points, and all other cards are worth the numerical value shown.
The main rule of the game is that the player earns 2 or 3 points if the card values of the three cards total up to 8 or 9 respectively. The player must stand when the total does not reach 8 or 9 and the banker must draw an additional card or stand when the total is 5 or 6. The banker must also stand when the total is 7 and must draw an additional card when the total is 4 or less.
