Punto Banco is a famous card game usually found in casinos worldwide. In Cambodia, this game is popular in mobile casinos. It is also known as Baccarat. In Punto Banco, the game starts with two hands, the "Player" and the "Banker". Each hand is dealt with two cards by the house dealer. The object of the game is to have a higher total than the other hand. The total or the points that the cards add up to is determined by adding the numerical value of the two cards.
The number cards 2 to 9 are their face value; the number 10 and the face cards have the value of 0 and the Ace card has a value of 1. If the total is over 10, then the second number is taken. For example, if a hand has cards of 7 and 5, then its total is 2 (7+5=12, 12-10=2). The hand that has a total of 8 or 9 is called a "natural" and is an instant win.
If the Player and Banker both don't have a natural, the Player hand decides whether to draw a third card or not, depending on their respective total. If the Player hand has either 0 to 5, then the Player will draw a card. Anything above 6 and the Player will stay. Following this, the Banker's hand is determined depending on how the Player hand stands.
