Poker, in its various forms, is popular in Mali as it is in many parts of the world. The mobile version of this game is particularly popular due to its convenience, ease of access, and affordability. It follows the traditional rules of the game of poker. In Mali, the mobile version of poker is usually played with anywhere from two to six players. It is important to note that there is no house – all players are playing against each other.
The game begins with each player being dealt two cards, face down. These cards are called hole cards and each player can use these two cards and the five cards shared by the other players to make the best possible five-card poker hand. Betting is generally done in a clockwise manner, and players can choose to fold (give up) or call (match the bet of another player). Once the betting round is complete, the remaining players can exchange any of their cards for new cards from the deck.
