Poker, as it is played in El Salvador’s mobile casinos, follows the same rules and hand rankings as typical international versions. Players are each dealt two cards face-down, which are known as hole cards. Players can then use these hole cards to combine with the five community cards that are revealed by the dealer. The strongest five-card combination wins the game.
The first phase of each round of poker starts with a small and big blind. The small blind is submitted by the player sitting left of the button, whereas the big blind is submitted by the player sitting right of the button. The button represents the dealer in each round, and it moves clockwise with each completed round. The blinds are forced bets which all players must match before the cards are dealt.
The next phase of the game is acted out in the form of Pre-Flop, Flop, Turn, and River. During the Pre-Flop phase, all players are dealt two hole cards. Then, players can choose to check, raise, or fold. After Pre-Flop, the dealer reveals the 3 cards making up the Flop. Players are allowed to bet, check, raise, or fold. This is followed by the fourth card, the Turn. Again, players can choose to fold, check, bet, or raise. Lastly, the dealer reveals the 5th card, the River, and allows players to act accordingly. Following this phase, players must show their cards, and the best combination wins the game.
