Pai Gow is a type of poker game that has gained a lot of popularity in recent years. It is a Chinese-style gambling game that is played using a standard deck of cards and includes elements of traditional Chinese dominoes and tiles. The game begins with all of the players placing their bets and the dealer then distributing seven cards to all of the players.
The primary goal of the game is to divide the seven cards into two hands, a five-card hand and a two-card hand. The five-card hand, known as the Back or High Hand, is composed of the higher ranking poker hands while the two-card hand, known as the Front or Low Hand, is composed of the lower ranking poker hands. In Pai Gow, the two-card hand must always be weaker than the five-card hand.
The hands are then compared to the dealer's hands and if both the five-card and two-card hands of a player are stronger than the dealer's positions, then the player wins the round. If only one of the player’s hands is stronger than the dealer's, then the round is tied. If both of the player’s hands are weaker than the dealer's, then the player loses the round.
