Pai Gow is an ancient Chinese game that is popular in modern Ukraine. It is a card game played between a dealer and up to six players. The objective of the game is to make two poker hands that are stronger than the dealer's. As in other poker variants, players are dealt seven cards. The two hands must include the front (the two-card hand) and the back (the five-card hand). In Pai Gow, the front hand must be weaker than the back hand. Players then compete against the dealer.
The game is played by dividing the seven cards into two hands. The two-card hand must be weaker than the five-card hand, and the dealer's two hands must both be stronger than the player's two hands to win. Aces are always low in Pai Gow and cannot be used as part of a straight. After the cards are dealt, the players set their two hands and try to beat the dealer.
