Pai Gow is a Chinese game that is played using tiles. The mobile version of the game is played in a similar way as its traditional version. The main objective of the game is to split a hand of seven tiles into a five-tile hand and a two-tile hand. Each hand should win against the two hands of the banker with the highest ranking combinations.
In Pai Gow, two to eight players will play against the banker. The game is usually played using dominoes-like tiles which are made of bamboo. Each tile contains two halves, numbered from 0 to 8. The tiles are shuffled before being dealt among the players.
Once the tiles have been dealt, players have to split up their hand of seven tiles into two hands of five tiles and two tiles. The five-tile hand is called the 'High Hand', and it should rank higher than the two-tile hand, the 'Low Hand'. The ranking of tiles follows the traditional Chinese order, and its strength follows this order - 'Gee Joon', 'Nine Gates', 'Heaven', 'Earth', 'Spot', 'Animal', 'Invisible', 'Red', 'Dot'.
The hands are compared with the banker's, and the players then win or lose according to the strength of their hands. The player with the strongest pair of hands will win the game.
