This version of the game is played with a standard 52 card deck and one joker. Unlike the traditional game, Pai Gow in Kenya is played with 7 cards. All players are dealt seven cards face up, while the dealer is dealt seven cards face down. The goal of the game is to make two separate poker hands out of your seven cards, with one hand consisting of 5 cards (the back hand), and the other consisting of 2 cards (the front hand).
The two hands are then compared to the dealer’s two hands. If both of your hands are stronger than the dealer’s hands, you win the game. If one of the hands is stronger than the dealer’s corresponding hand, but the other hand is weaker, the game ends in a tie. If both of your hands are weaker than the dealer’s corresponding hands, you lose.
