Pai Gow is a dominoes-based game that involves two hands of four tiles, with players attempting to make the two best poker hands. While the game has a long history in Chinese culture, it has been played in various other countries for several centuries. This version of the game is popular in the mobile casinos of Iran.
In the mobile version of Pai Gow, players are dealt 7 cards. They have to split this into two hands (one five-card and one two-card poker hand) and then battle against a dealer. The dealer also gets 7 cards and has to likewise split them into two hands. The five-card hand must outrank the two-card hand.
The highest possible hand in Pai Gow is a straight flush, which beats any other hand. The second highest is a four-of-a-kind and, if at least one of these is among the dealer’s cards, they qualify for a bonus. This bonus pays 2.5 to 1.
The other bonus available is if the five-card hand is a flush or higher. In that case, the bet will be a push, and the player will get their money back.
