Pai Gow is a card game with a long history that is popular among Cubans. In mobile Pai Gow, the player is dealt 7 cards and must then create two hands - one with 5 cards and one with 2 cards - out of the seven cards. The 5-card hand is ranked according to poker hand rankings and the 2-card hand is ranked according to “high card” rules.
The game is played against a dealer. The dealer will also be dealt seven cards and will create two hands out of them. The player's and dealer's hands are then compared and the best hand is declared the winner.
The rules for playing mobile Pai Gow in Cuba are the same as the ones for the original game, but with one extra rule - the player must make his best possible hands from the seven cards he is dealt. If he does not make the best possible hands, he can still win but the winnings are reduced accordingly.
