Mahjong, also known as 明 槓, is an abstract tile-based game, originating from China. It is usually played with four players, but can also be played with two players. To play the game, each player is given 16 tiles, face-down. The players then take turns to try and create sets of three or four tiles with the same numerical value or characters. Mahjong is immensely popular in China and other countries in East Asia, and has recently become more popular in the Western world as well.
In French mobile casinos, Mahjong is played in a slightly different way than in its traditional Chinese version. The main difference is that there is no dealer in the game, which eliminates the need for the players to use a variety of special strategies to win. Furthermore, the tiles in the French version are typically narrower, making it easier to create set matches.
In French mobile casinos, the game usually lasts for three rounds. During each round the players take turns to try and match tiles. Once a player has successfully matched two or more tiles a score is added to that players score. At the end of the round, the player with the highest score is declared the winner.
