Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games in the world and is especially popular in Uganda. The game is played with a standard 52-card deck and the goal is to get a total score higher than the dealer – without going over 21. In the mobile version, the rules remain the same except the game is played on a device and the interface is adapted to a touchscreen.
The basic rules of the game are as follows: Players must place their bets before the game starts. Each card is assigned a numerical value, with Face Cards (King, Queen, and Jack) worth 10 and Aces worth either 1 or 11 based on the player's discretion. After the bets have been placed, each player receives two cards, as does the dealer. The player then decides whether to ‘hit’ (take another card) or ‘stand’ (not take any more cards). The game ends when the player or dealer reaches 21 or busts (goes over 21). The winner is the one who reaches a score closest to 21 without going over.
