Blackjack, also known as 21, is a game of chance that is based on card comparison. The rules are the same for the online as well as the mobile version of the game. Players try to gather a hand of cards that is equal to 21, or as close as possible to 21, without going over.
Cards from 2 to 10 are counted at their face value. All face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are valued at 10 and the Ace can count as a 1 or 11, depending on the player’s hand. Depending on the variant, the game will be played with either one or two decks, or up to 8 decks of 52 playing cards.
Before starting a game, each player places a bet. The dealer gives each player two cards that are dealt face up. Depending on the variant, the dealer either deals himself two cards, one up and one face down (known as the "hole" card) or only one face up.
The players' objective is to get 21 as close as possible, without going over. After the players receive their first two cards, they can hit or stand. If they decide to stand, their turn is over. If they decide to hit, they will be dealt one additional card. The players can't exceed 21. If they do, they automatically lose. The player who has the highest score closest to 21 wins the bet and is paid even money.
