The rules of Blackjack remain the same in Jordan, as in any other country. The basic game involves a 52-card deck, with cards worth their numerical values, face cards worth 10 points each, and an Ace counting either 1 or 11. The objective is to get a higher score than the dealer without going over 21.
Players are dealt two cards, with the option to “hit” i.e. be dealt additional cards, “stand” i.e not request any more cards, “doubling down” i.e. double the bet and receive one additional card, or “splitting” i.e. split a pair of cards and receive an additional card for each card in the pair. After all players have completed their hands, the dealer will then draw cards according to a set of rules.
