In Bulgaria, a game of Blackjack is a contest between a player and a dealer that is played with one, two, four, six, or eight decks of 52 cards. The goal of the game is to get as close to 21 without going over, while still beating the dealer’s total. Players are initially dealt two cards, one face up and one face down. Cards 2-10 are worth their face value, aces are valued at 1 or 11, and face cards are worth 10. The player can then choose to hit (take another card) or stay (keep their total). If the player’s total is less than 21 and they chose to stay, the dealer must then draw until they reach 17 or higher. If the player goes over 21, they automatically lose. If players and the dealer tie, the player’s bet is returned.
