The rules of Baccarat are straightforward. When playing Baccarat in Denmark, the aim is to make a hand with a point total closest to nine. All face cards and 10s are worth 0 points, Aces are worth 1 point, and all other cards are worth their face value.
Players must make a bet before the game begins. In Denmark, casinos often offer side bets, which can be placed in addition to the main bet. After all bets have been placed, the game can begin.
A standard game of Baccarat will involve two hands. The first is called the Player Hand, and the second is called the Banker Hand. The Player Hand is the hand that you bet on. Both the Player Hand and the Banker Hand will be dealt two cards. The total of the two cards will be calculated, and the hand with the highest total closest to, but not exceeding 9 is the winner.
If either the Player Hand or the Banker Hand has a total of 8 or 9, they will both stand. If the Player Hand has a total of 5 or less, the Player Hand will draw a third card. The Banker Hand will also draw a third card if the Player Hand drew a 3rd card, depending on the total of the Player Hand.
Once the third card is drawn, the total of both cards will be calculated and the hand closest to 9 is the winner. If both the Player Hand and the Banker Hand have the same total, the outcome is a tie and no one wins or loses.
