The Cayman Islands sit just northwest of Jamaica and comprises Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac. It is a hugely popular area for holidaymakers, with around 2.5 million tourists visiting the islands each year.
The Cayman Islands has a population of 66,000, and nearly half the residents are from somewhere else. A number buoyed by the fact the islands are considered an offshore financial haven for wealthy individuals. Despite this, there is still an abundance of local culture on the islands.
The area is characterized by great diving opportunities, long stretches of white sand, diverse wildlife, and lush forests.
