Bingo is a game of chance that is typically played with cards in which players attempt to form a predetermined patternāsuch as a straight line or a full cardāon their cards. A caller declares the numbers drawn randomly and players mark them off when called. In Taiwan, bingo is usually played using a 40-number card with 24 numbers covered or revealed. Players need to get all 24 numbers on their card to win the game. If more than one player has all the numbers on their card, the player who completed their card first is the winner.
Bingo versions such as 75-ball and 90-ball are also available in Taiwan. In 75-ball bingo, the card is a 5X5 grid and players need to get any of the predetermined patterns (such as a full house) to win the game. In 90-ball bingo, cards are in a 9X3 grid and winners are determined for each of the three lines of the card.
Taiwanese bingo games have multiple rounds and involve jackpots. During each round, the caller will announce specific patterns that must be made to win a prize. The jackpot is usually given for the last round with a predetermined pattern that is hard to make.
